Maintenance Technician/ Journeyman Electrician/
Heating and Cooling Technician

Essential Duties

This position is based out of the Gimli Maintenance Shop and as a member of the Divisional Maintenance team will complete work as assigned in all Evergreen School Division facilities.

Ability, Skills & Qualifications:

- Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent

- Trade certification as a Journeyman Electrician

- Preference will be given to candidates that have HVAC certification

- Consideration will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience working in residential and commercial environments

- Knowledge of building systems, heating, etc.

- Knowledge of building codes and regulations

- Proficient with technology including Microsoft Office, Web Control and Commerce Point Work Order System

- Able to work in confined spaces

- Ability to work with minimum supervision.

- Physically capable of performing all functions of this position including lifting up to 40 lbs.

- Perform general maintenance and other duties as assigned

- Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license

- Must be self-motivated, highly organized and a team member

Hours of work: 8.0 hr/day (7:30 am to 4:00 pm), Mon-Fri, and on emergency call outs
