Overview

The Data Analyst is responsible for creating project data requirements, processing ETL jobs, checking data quality, analyzing results using SQL, generating output datasets and creating job reports. This role will need to communicate with customers directly to understand their data needs and work with the software development team to generate the required results for customers. Strong communication skills and a customer service oriented attitude are a must for success in this role. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about data, quality, analytics and customer success.

Responsibilities

Communicate with clients to understand their data needs and create project requirement documents
Process ETL jobs to collect data and generate results in Python based Jupyter Notebook
Monitor job status, check data quality and identify issues by analyzing results using efficient SQL queries
Create output data and send files through SFTP, S3 and API
Develop reports for jobs and data results
Provide customer support to clients for questions, issues and special requests

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics or related discipline
Minimum 2 years work experience in data analysis with solid experience in writing SQL queries and using Microsoft Excel
Strong knowledge of database operations, SQL, ETL automation, Python programming and various file formats in JSON, XML, CSV
Attention to detail with strong skills in organization and documentation
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work remote independently with minimal supervision
