We are currently seeking a Cloud Administrator to help assist our growing company. This role will focus on the cloud administration of our core Municipal ERP (mERP) softwares core infrastructure and value added modules. These modules are desktop, web and mobile based. You will work with a small team on core responsibilities and expand autonomy of these systems. However this could expand to larger teams to ensure any sudden infrastructure issues can find resolution in a timely and effective manner.
Responsibilities Could Include
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux-based systems, including OS installation, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Manage and administer Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux-based systems, including OS installation, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Manage and administer Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Install, configure, and manage VMware Cloud infrastructure, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Implement and maintain security measures, including user access controls, firewall configurations, and system hardening.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Collaborate with the IT team to resolve technical issues and provide support to end-users.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, security and best practices in Linux, Kubernetes, and VMware administration.
- SQL installation and maintenance.
- Deployment, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of proprietary TownSuite applications
Skills
- Technical background is a plus especially a base understanding of managing and maintaining any of the above systems and processes is a strong benefit to your application
- Problem solving skills and mindset is a plus.
- Certification and ops experience in Linux, Kubernetes, VMware and/or Windows administration is a plus
- Ability to work both independently and as a team to try and problem solve/test situations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are desirable.
- Good working knowledge of any of the following software is considered a plus including: Microsoft SQL Server + SQL Server Integration Services, GitHub, Google Workspace(Google Docs, Sheets, Calendar), Ubiquiti Unifi hardware/software, pfSense, Redis, HAProxy, Docker, Kubernetes, Windows 11/Server 2022, Portainer, Linux, Redis, Yugabyte, VMware vSphere/vCD, ESXi, iOS, Android and TownSuite® Municipal mERP Software.
