Job description
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Assistant plays a pivotal role in the execution and coordination of our marketing strategies. This position is integral to our team, ensuring the seamless distribution of marketing collaterals, the development of engaging content, and the execution of impactful social media campaigns.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Distribute sell sheets to external sales teams and shops under our e-mail list.
- Develop a social media calendar and coordinate graphics across all brands.
- Coordinate shipments of collaterals to shops and merchandise to budtenders and the public.
- Create precise and engaging product descriptions for existing and upcoming products.
- Develop social media campaigns for new products and brand initiatives.
- Monitor Meltwater for public conversations and reviews about Weed Me brands and products.
- Engage with our audience and manage interactions across all social media platforms.
- Proofread and approve marketing collateral.
- Conduct product photography as needed.
- Collaborate with internal and external design teams to execute tasks for digital platforms, social media, and web.
- Develop and grow our online presence on Instagram and Reddit.
- Communicate product complaints or inquiries to sales and customer service.
- Serve as the point of contact for innovation, helping to execute events and coordinate sample opportunities (e.g., ARCannabis Cup).
- Plan and execute seasonal social media campaigns (e.g., holidays, Valentine’s Day, Earth Day/Month).
- Assist in developing and executing in-person activations and events (e.g., KIND).
