Job Overview
As a data scientist, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects across various business units. These include product demand forecasting based on weather, utilizing Deep Learning in weather prediction, and developing ad-tech solutions for improved audience targeting and advanced location insights. Please note, this is a remote position, and we are only considering candidates who are eligible to work in Canada and can work Eastern Standard Hours (EST).
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Develop innovative algorithms for audience targeting, attribution, and weather-based demand forecasting across various industries
Create powerful visualizations to make data accessible and understandable
Utilize the latest advancements in GenAI to produce client-facing summaries that monetize prediction algorithms
Contribute to development best practices and experiment with new ideas
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify creative solutions for data targeting, and plan and execute key products from concept to production
Qualifications
Degree in one of the STEM disciplines
Experience developing machine learning solutions in industry or research
Strong understanding of statistics and machine learning applications
Proficiency in SQL and coding experience (Python or Java, etc.)
Experience with scientific computing (Numpy, Scipy, Scikit-learn, etc.)
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas to a non-technical audience
Developing Deep Learning solutions in industry or research, especially with large datasets where distributed data frameworks are necessary
