Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a Full -Time Temporary Grade 5/6 Teacher to work with the team at Sturgeon Heights School.
Sturgeon Heights School is located within the city of St. Albert boundary and is a Kindergarten to Grade 9 school with approximately 450 students. Sturgeon Heights School encourages students to be critical thinkers, engaged in their own learning environment, and creative with their problem solving.
Assignment: 1.0 FTE; Full-Time Temporary Grade 5/6 Teacher
Qualifications
Bachelors of Education
Understanding and application of formative and summative assessment
Understanding and application of differentiated instruction as part of an inclusive learning environment
Excellent understanding of inquiry learning and teaching through a student centered approach
Positive classroom management as part of a safe and caring school
Proficiency in the use of educational technology
