GSH Trailer leasing is looking for a Licenced 310J trailer mechanic for the day shift: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday for 40 hours per week.
The semi-trailer mechanic's main tasks are to perform preventive maintenance, adjustment and repair of major components requiring special attention on all models of semi-trailers. The mechanic must also ensure that the equipment complies with occupational health and safety standards and procedures.

Job Description
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Trailer Mechanic's main task is to perform preventive maintenance, adjustment and repair of major components requiring special attention on all trailer models. The mechanic must also ensure that the equipment complies with occupational health and safety standards and procedures.
Main responsibilities
- Perform mechanical, electrical and pneumatic repairs (brakes, axles, air systems, suspensions, etc.);
- Perform mechanical unit diagnostics, inspections, and replacements. Test and modify units to meet requirements;
- Conduct annual safety inspections and preventative maintenance inspections on heavy-duty trailers, communicating work completed and potential repair needs to the service manager;
- Perform mechanical repairs through GSH’s mobile service, with a company vehicle provided;
- Determine necessary components for repairing dismantled equipment;
- Inspect braking systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other key elements to guarantee appropriate operation;
- Check and replace brakes, tighten nuts and screws, and reinstall equipment;
- Prioritize safety by following GSH Trailer Leasing Inc. regulations and standards;
- Demonstrate dedication to fulfilling deadlines in fast-paced environments to maintain client satisfaction;
- Carry out any additional obligations that may be given.
Job requirements
- Must have the 310J certification;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position;
- Valid Class G driver's license required.
