Job Title: Data Analyst (Contract - 6 Months, Hybrid)

Position Overview: We are seeking a Junior Data Analyst for a 6-month contract with a strong potential for extension. This role involves a blend of data entry, analysis, and communication, supporting the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) in compliance with FINTRAC regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a Canadian university degree and demonstrate a high level of organization and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Management and Analysis:
- Input and manage reportable data related to FIU investigations.
- Prepare and compile detailed transaction reports for FIU teams.
- Ensure accuracy in documentation and data handling in compliance with FINTRAC regulations.
- Workflow and Documentation:
- Operate within established workflows, ensuring accurate saving and uploading of documentation.
- Communicate effectively with investigators to transcribe and clarify detailed information.
- Communication and Support:
- Provide support to the FIU team, addressing data-related queries and assisting in report preparation.
- Interact with a diverse range of individuals, applying tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized Canadian university, preferably in a related field such as Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with data entry tools and office equipment.
