Compensation And Benefits
- Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $2,115.38 to $2,276.92+ biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Summary
The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator will develop and execute brand storytelling and business driving messaging across all social channels using their love of social media and the latest insights and trends in the social space. Must be an enthusiastic and avid social media user with a vast understanding of social media platforms, proven ability to manage a social community, and a willingness to appear on camera for various photo and video projects. The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract more customers, market products and promote our brand. Success in this role will be demonstrated by generating relevant and engaging social media posts to expand brand awareness, website traffic, and sales.
The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator works under the supervision of the Marketing Manager and in close collaboration with the Content Supervisor and Email Marketing Coordinator to deliver on the overall needs specific to the resort’s owned marketing channel.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Development and execution of social media strategy that delivers on-brand storytelling and aligns with overall paid media strategy
- Creation and execution of social media campaigns across channels, including blogs, various social media platforms, apps, and mobile device marketing.
- Flawless execution of branded and co-branded storytelling in a timely and relevant manner
- Research audience preferences and discover current trends, staying up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
- Work in close collaboration with and under the supervision of the Content Supervisor in the creation and execution of branded content and storytelling.
- Manage Copper’s reputation across all digital channels including social media, TripAdvisor, Yelp, Google, etc. This duty will also require communicating any issues and comments to the appropriate business units around the resort.
- Ensure all social media activities adhere to legal, ethical, and industry standards and the company’s policies and procedures.
- Appear in various photo and video projects as the face of Copper.
- Contribute to the Copper blog where and when needed.
- Fulfill on-brand partner, sponsor and third-party social requirements, schedules in a way that delivers complimentary storytelling that unifies both/all brands in a timely manner. Provide tracking of posts to internal partnerships team.
- Reach target audiences through various social channels via brand storytelling to create brand engagement.
- Attend all Copper events year-round for social media coverage.
- Monitor and report out on campaign and initiative KPI’s and performance, including tracking of fulfillment on partner obligations.
- Work with Marketing and Events Team to develop timely, consistent, unique and quality branded content.
- Ability to capture photo and video content that supports the brand storytelling to create brand engagement.
- Monitors industry and competitors content and activity.
- Respond to users and guests in a timely manner across all social channels and within the brand tone of voice.
- Work with other departments throughout Copper Mountain Resort to help develop content.
- Responsible for maintenance and execution of the Copper Mountain mobile app. This includes but is not limited to content, structure, push notifications, and functionality updates.
- Supports with updating marketing information on the daily Snow Report email and works with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate snow reporting across communication channels, including but not limited to web, social, internal and partner communication channels.
- Supports in the execution of email marketing and website updates.
- Function as an ambassador of Copper Mountain, modeling and sharing the brand culture with our guests and employees.
- Uphold the most professional image.
- Continually strives to exceed our guest’s expectations and create memories for our guests and staff.
- Required to work Saturday, Sunday and most holidays.

Basic Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Advanced Skiing/ Snowboarding ability
- Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after position is accepted. This background check will be done in accordance with standards enacted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Communications with 2+ years in social media, new media or online communications experience
- Deep understanding and expertise in platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, and YouTube
- Proficient use of social media management tools like Sprout Social for scheduling, analytics, and campaign management
- Ability to interpret data, draw insights, and compile comprehensive and understandable reports for stakeholders
- Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
- Strong copywriting and creative writing skills with a strong attention to details
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate to little supervision
- Ability to work as a member of a team and understand the dynamic nature of a team environment including member roles
