Vacation Pay: 4% remuneration
Hours: 30 per week and may require overtime (1.5x after 40 hours per week)
We’re seeking an experienced Landscaping Foreman to be part of our amazing team. We take pride in delivering quality landscaping services and fostering a positive work culture.
This is a full-time position (30 hours minimum per week), with the flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Able and experience to run and supervise a crew of 2 to 8 people
· Responsible for crew scheduling and time management
· Physical fitness and health
· Understanding of reading of landscaping drawings
· Ability to operate skid steer, mowers, mini excavator and other machinery.
· Experience in inspecting job sites for quality control
· Planting and relocating plants in a specific area either shade or sun
· Competent to use power tools for required jobs
· Ability to renovate front and back yards with custom ideas
· Horticultural knowledge and experience in pruning and planting different variety of
shrubs and perennials
· Experience in chemical treatments of irrigation water, with specific characteristic
of salinity and presence of elements which could be harmful to the environment
· Experience and ability to organize and purchase the materials required for the
project
· Ability or willingness to learn snow removal and ice management in wintertime
· Able to supervise properties and make sure roads and sidewalks are
safe for residents to avoid injuries from ice
Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in the landscaping industry as a foreman/supervisor
· Be willing to travel to project location
· Be able to legally work in Canada
· Clean driver’s abstract and driver’s license
· Must have own vehicle
· Education requirement: Minimum high school completion/ diploma required
Assets:
· Competency and experience to install irrigation systems with latest products and
understand the usage of sprinkler heads required in the different types of soil
· Ability and experience in building retaining walls, paver patios and sidewalks,
pergolas etc.
