Position Overview:

We are seeking a young and energetic Quality Food Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about quality and food safety standards in Canada, such as GFSI or QMS, and have a strong desire to contribute to our ongoing success. The candidate should have working experience and knowledge in Halal Certification and Standards. This role requires the ability to travel, excellent skills in MS Office, and a flexible mindset to accommodate after-hours work as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain quality and food safety programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.

Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory purposes.

Qualifications:

College Diploma or Degree in Food Science or related programs.

Working knowledge of quality and food safety standards, such as GFSI or QMS.

Experience and knowledge about the Halal Standards and Certifications.

Strong skills in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Ability to work flexible hours.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
