We are seeking an Assistant / Junior Mortgage Underwriter to join our growing mortgage team. In this role, you will assist with the day-to-day administrative tasks that ensure a smooth process for our clients, lenders, and partners from start to finish. You will also support the mortgage agent by contributing to the underwriting process. Your strong communication skills and people-centric approach will be key in helping us maintain and grow crucial business relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Handle daily administrative tasks to ensure mortgage files move smoothly from application to approval and funding.

Communicate with clients, lenders, and business partners to facilitate a seamless mortgage experience.

Assist the mortgage agent in the junior underwriting process, reviewing documents and preparing files for submission.

Ensure high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of mortgage processing.

Qualifications

Must have or obtain at least a Level 1 Mortgage Agent License within the first 90 days of employment (we will support you in this process).

Experience working in a bank, financial institution, other financial services, and/or a strong administrative background is mandatory.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills—you will be the bridge between clients, lenders, and other important business relationships.

Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

A self-starter with a passion for growth and success in the mortgage industry.

Compensation: Base annual salary + commission and additional compensation opportunities, allowing you to earn beyond your base salary.
