As part of the Financial Reporting team, this role will be responsible for technical accounting, consolidated reporting of results and maintaining accounting systems.
Key Areas of Reasonability
Reporting
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Analysis of variances, trends and other insights
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the reports and process
- Data Analysis
Accounting
- Maintenance and monitoring of accruals, prepaid expenses, and capital reporting
- Analyzing financial data and identifying discrepancies
- Research and application of accounting standards and procedures
- Participation with year end audit
Systems
- Use of accounting systems to enable proper accounting of transactions
- Assistance with process improvement and/or systems implementation
Leadership
- Coordination of ad hoc initiatives
- Mentoring and development of team members
Competencies Required
- CPA with minimum 1 year of experience
- Midstream experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
- Ability to use technology to improve processes, access data and communicate information in a meaningful way
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Initiative and integrity
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
