About The Role
We are looking for a bright professional to join our research and development team. The work we do is diverse, challenging and rewarding. The Junior Front-end Developer is responsible for the development of web applications using Angular as the frontend framework. The developer would be responsible for building features in our Media targeting and monitoring platform. Agility PR Solutions develops state of the art tools to allow public relations professionals to target media influencers and to monitor their businesses in the media.
The web applications you will build leverage robust RESTful services in Java in our big data backend which is built on technologies such as Hadoop and Solr, deployed to a high availability production environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Work on new projects for features within existing products as well as new products.
- Reviewing and implementing designs from prototype to production while ensuring code maintainability and applying software engineering practices including unit testing source control, static code analysis and continuous integration
- Participate in maintaining production code over time by applying upgrades and bug fixes.
- Ensure code maintainability and best coding practices by participating in code reviews.
- Interact with stakeholders to understand problems and validate proposed solutions.
- Document work and report progress to the Project Manager/Scrum Master
What You Need You To Bring
- Degree in computer science, or computer related field.
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience in the field with CSS, HTML, and Angular/Typescript (experience with React or similar frameworks will be considered)
- Hands on experience for a variety of platforms including web, smartphones, tablets, and various web browsers.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Git and Jenkins
- Experience with at many of the following: code-review, continuous integration, and mocking.
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills
- Experience with Java, node or PHP is an asset (but not required)
