Job Description:Are you a data-driven problem solver passionate about cybersecurity? We're seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our dynamic Security Analytics team. As a key member of our organization, you'll play a pivotal role in analyzing and interpreting complex data to enhance our security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security Alert Analysis: Develop and refine best practices for identifying critical security alerts within our SIEM platform.
- Data Engineering: Identify valuable data sources, automate collection processes, and preprocess structured and unstructured data.
- Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies relevant to our security operations.
- Machine Learning: Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms to automate security tasks and improve detection capabilities.
- Data Visualization: Communicate insights effectively using data visualization techniques to inform decision-making.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product development, and other teams to address security challenges and implement solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst.
- Strong foundation in data mining techniques and machine learning principles.
- Proficiency in R, SQL, and Python programming languages.
- Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Security+ or CISSP certifications.
- Experience with Splunk or Sentinel security platforms.
