We are currently searching for Full Stack Software Engineers to collaborate with our exceptional team of business and AI specialists at Yeji Data Lab. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in technology and business as well as a strong comprehension of the tech and Artificial Intelligence industries.
We are a partner of Mila, the Quebec AI institute, and work in a hybrid mode - with shared workspace in the Mile-Ex.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Data Science project lead to develop, implement, and maintain statistical models and algorithms to extract insights from data.
- Collect, clean, and manipulate large datasets.
- Conduct EDAs.
- Identify and analyze trends and patterns in complex data sets.
- Develop data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide insights and recommendations.
- Use statistical and machine learning models to generate impactful predictions from data.
- Prepare high impact storylines and presentations for clients.
- Work closely with the engineer to integrate data science models into production systems, ensuring scalability and real-time processing.
- Implement best practices in model versioning, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure sustained model performance over time.
- Proactively identify potential pitfalls and challenges in moving models from development to production environments and devise strategies to overcome them.
- Document model architectures, methodologies, and validation results to provide clear guidelines for model usage and troubleshooting.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning deployment techniques and tools, and champion the adoption of relevant technologies to improve model deployment and management processes.
- Monitor deployed models' performance regularly, and recalibrate or fine-tune as needed to maintain optimal results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Cognitive Neuroscience, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in statistical modeling and analysis.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, R, or similar).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with training machine learning models for regression and classification.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of both English and French is preferred
