Quality Control Inspector North York, Ontario · Precision Manufacturing
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join the team of a leading manufacturer in the Aerospace and Nuclear sectors. This position focuses on precision measurement and inspection of critical components using advanced metrology equipment and techniques.
POSITION OVERVIEW The successful candidate will perform detailed quality inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) technology and conduct comprehensive manual inspections utilizing various precision measurement tools. The role requires creating and maintaining quality assurance documentation while ensuring compliance with industry standards including AS 9100, ISO 9001: 2008, and CSA Z299.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and program CMM equipment for complex component inspection
- Conduct detailed inspections using advanced measurement tools including digital height gauges, micrometers, shadow graphs, and precision calipers
- Develop and maintain quality control documentation, inspection reports, and control plans
- Interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications
- Perform dimensional analysis including geometric tolerancing measurements such as flatness, concentricity, and parallelism
- Document inspection results and identify non-conforming products
- Interface with production team and customers regarding quality-related matters
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of experience in precision parts inspection within manufacturing
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in manufacturing or quality assurance preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with CMM operation (CALIPSO and PC-DMIS experience valuable)
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and shop mathematics
- Experience with aerospace or nuclear manufacturing quality standards
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications
- Expertise in using various precision measurement instruments

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and currently reside in Canada
- Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
- Standing for extended periods and lifting up to 20 kg may be required
